What FaultGym is

A training sandbox. You are given a deliberately faulty system, you diagnose it, you repair its configuration, and your repair is graded against test cases. Everything in it is invented for teaching: the insurer, the policyholders, the documents, the claims and the incidents are fictional and resemble no real organisation or person.

Nothing you do here touches a real claim, a real customer record or a real payment. The payment tool inside an incident writes to a synthetic ledger belonging to your attempt and nowhere else.

What FaultGym is not

• Not insurance advice, legal advice, or a description of any real policy or law.
• Not a certification. Completing an incident is not a qualification and we make no claim about what it proves to an employer.
• Not a security product. The deliberately vulnerable behaviour exists inside a training scenario and is not a model of any particular vendor’s system.

Your account and your work

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for activity under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

Your attempts, configurations and incident notes belong to you. You grant us permission to store and process them so the product can work: to run your pipeline, grade it, and show you your own progress. We will not publish your work or show it to another learner.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to reach another learner’s attempts, results or data;
• attack the service — denial of service, credential stuffing, mass automated requests, or attempts to break out of the scenario runner;
• extract held-out test cases or grading material in order to defeat the grading;
• resell or redistribute the scenario content as your own teaching material.

Security research is welcome, but tell us first through Report a problem, keep your testing to your own account, and give us a reasonable chance to fix anything you find.

Our content

The incidents, documents, test cases and grading logic are ours. You may use them to learn, including at work, and you may describe what you learned publicly. You may not republish the scenario packs as a product or course of your own.

Availability and change

This is an early product run by one person. It may be unavailable, it may change, and incidents may be added, altered or withdrawn. We may reset or remove data if we have to, though we will avoid it. There is no uptime commitment.

Free use and future paid features

All incidents are free today. If paid features arrive later, they will be clearly marked and will not retroactively lock something you already had. There is no payment mechanism in the product today and nothing to buy.

No warranty, and limits

FaultGym is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it is error-free or that grading is correct in every case — if you think a grade is wrong, report it, because that is a bug worth fixing.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You can stop using FaultGym at any time and ask us to delete your account through Report a problem. We may suspend access that breaks the acceptable-use terms above, or that threatens the service for other learners.
